Do you have a 2010 federal leave Calender? If not where can I get one?

Take the 2008 file and rename sheet 1 to 2008. Copy all of sheet 1 (or sheet 2008) if you renamed it. Go over to sheet 2 and paste what you copied there. Rename sheet 2 to 2009. At the top of sheet 2 (sheet 2009) in the carried over column place this forumula =SUM('2008'!S30) That will carry over what you have left from 2008. Then all you need to do is change the holidays and pay period dates in 2009 and you have the new year. I've run mine through 2010 and will continue to add to it.

I, too, am wondering when the 2009 leave calculator will be coming out.

I have a spreadsheet version that calculates based on your SCD date from your LES that is good until 2022. I picked it up a few years ago. I haven't been able to find a more current version that I like.

I would like a federal pay period leave chart for 2009. Do you have for 2009? Thanks

I use the leave calculator you created for the past few years and love it, which is shared among our employees. I just change the dates in the pay period column and it automatically changes the dates, except leap year. Is there a way that when SL or AL is entered (ex: S4 or A9) that it is automatically entered in the 'Used' column? The Balance is correct after the leave is manually entered. I'm not very excel savvy when it comes to formulas. Can you help me out? Also, please send me the website as to where to find the leave chart. I Google it and sometimes I can find it and other time, I can't . Thanks so much.

The interactive document provided is a simple spreadsheet with formulas running behind it. You can change the leave accrual columns to fit your situation. You can change other areas to fit you're situation. I've revised this sheet to include column for other leave, e.g., timeoff awards and credit hours. The version that I got some years ago also had Excel spreadsheets for 10+ years out. I added additional years so that my one Excel document has several sheets for each year out to 2020 when I'd first be eligible to retire.

I have modified the spreadsheet to do auto calculation based on cell color if anyone is interested. It let's you know future balance based on input. Good to project your leave in advance.

Thanks Jerrell for developing the Excel leave chart. It's great, doesn't cost any trees, and I've been using it for several years!

Don't forget the 10hrs on the last pay period of the year! Not sure why it's not included...once again, someone is trying to cheat gov't employees out of pay (leave=$$).

Me too, Bob. BUT, I add another 3 columns, name it 'other' to track time off awards, Comp time, etc., and it works like a charm. I was one of few that used the paper one, so I appreciate the saved paper and resources by having it online for those that are interested!

Call me old fashioned, but the GEICO card always worked fine for me!

I only earn 6 hours so I just change the "8" in the first row to "6" and the spreadsheet automatically repopulates all the rest of the rows to "6" and adds up the hours correctly. If a person only earned 4 hours per pp they then would change the "8" to "4" instead. Hope this helps!

The leave calaulator looks to me like that old Geico leave card I used for so many years. However, this seems to have the accrual amount filled in as 8 hrs. Not all employees earn 8 hrs per pay pd. Employees are entitled to 4, 6 or 8 hrs each pay period depending on longevity. I would hope there are separate calculators for 4 and 6 hour employees.

I have been using this chart for several years. While planning future leave I appreciate being able to input leave hours at various times of the year so that I can "see the numbers" and view the overall effect on my leave balances. Thanks a bunch!

I like using the computer version of keeping track of my leave. I have used the computerized leave for over 3 to 4 years and I love it. Thank you so much because I do not like to keep track the old way of using paper.
