I agree with the article. New technologies must be looked at as the present technologies used and in development are insufficient. Here is one that breaks out of the box.

NASA was created from the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory's Vanguard team in October 1958, not 1957. Sputnik is celebrating 50 years this month and Vanguard will celebrate it's successful launch of the Vanguard satellite March 17, 1958 (still in orbit and will be for at least 2000 years). NASA was not created until October of 1958.
