The workforce may be aging, but that doesn't have anything to do with it...some people look outward and continue to grow and change all of their lives, and some people made up their minds years ago and don't see any reason to re-think anything (or perhaps even to think!). These past 7 years have been pretty scary, and I only hope we can regain some of our position of leadership in the world.

This is a group of people who have never had to understand the technology. They get by, by asking others to scan documents, rename files, create disks, and other BASIC skills ot the IT world. There is no hope that they will 'get it" only that they will retire and move out in time for those with more skills to move up. If not, then the government will face a knowledge gap- just like it's facing a gap in service because the workforce is ageing.
