Return to Article: Special counsel takes heat for personal e-mail use

Use of personal email to "vent" by an agency head is inappropriate, at the very least. He should express his views about officials he investigates privately and within agency channels. Bloch, more than anyone else in the federal government, should be respectful of the Privacy Act, which he might have violated.

I hope this bad blood between Rep. Davis and Special Counsel Bloch ends soon. This disagreement is going nowhere fast. Mr. Bloch has a right to vent his personal views on his own personal home email account without the government prying into it.

Where is the coverage of USERRA? OSC helped my buddy out when he couldn't get his job back, and it doesn't seem like anybody is checking into how it helps veterans. The Dept of Labor gave him the runaraound for a year trying to get satisfaction. Who the hell cares if Bloch sent an email about congresscritters goofing off and playing pattycake. This USERRA issue is a huge deal for us who served. Does anyone give a crap?

Although I have always respected Rep Davis, I hope he doesn't let this distract from the clear Hatch Act Violations by Lurita Doan. Both she and Bloch need to be shown the door. Of course there are many higher ups in our government that too believe that they are above the law. All are disservice to our country and degrade the positions they hold.

This is all so very sad given the importance of the work of this office. He has impugned his own investigation with bias. Can you imagine what would happen if a federal judge was found with biased remarks regarding a party before him or her.
It is really about time this Special Counsel was shown the door by both Congress and the President.
