Return to Article: House appropriators limit e-gov funding

The congress would like to retard progress in e-Government initiative. Shall we thank them now for their "Taliban" approach to opposing improved government services to the people? The Government's e-Government initiative is designed to help the common people to have better access to responsible Government as well as making sure that we don't have duplication and we have interoperability. What's so tough here? Congress will make the US once again look stupid on the world market as the rest of the world embraces the progress that new technology allows all of us to embrace. How about a Congressional initiative to stop the internet because the Administration uses it?
Sometimes I think that the rest of the world simply sits back and laughs as us.
