Hopefully this will signal the end of the Plum Island Animal Research facility at the north end of Long Island. This site is suspected of allowing various diseases to be transmitted by animals and insects in the area. It also same the same post office that the anthrax came from in 2001. It is poorly secured, considering the types of biologicals and chemicals handled on the site. Seven million people are within 50 miles, directly down wind, in New York City.
