Wow! This death spiral has really gotten steep!
However, for those licking their chops at yet another opportunity to do a wholesale bashing of federal contracts managers, let's remember that this high-powered political hack, an agency head no less, had to chew through two contracting officers before finding a sell-out to do her bidding. Most old school contracting folks I know at the working level are some of the most ethical and principled people in government, notwithstanding the extreme political pressure under which they have often been obliged to operate. Unfortunately, they are also a vanishing species.

If these disgusting allegations are proven, then the foul smell will drift beyond the one individual at GSA. The entire federal contracting process will need to be cleaned up, made more transparent to taxpayers and cleansed of political appointee influence. If this process can ever really be expected to contribute to critical missions, significant overhaul is needed ...otherwise many will see this as another form of organized crime against taxpayers.

Anybody that is surprised by Ms. Doan's and other present administration political appointees' behavior probably believes Barry Bonds never touched steroids.
