In all the time this NTEU / AFGE thing has been happening we (the MEMBERS) have not had adequate representation because the workforce remained divided and management was rightfully not worried about a union that only represented half the workforce.
In the meantime, both unions are still collecting dues and mainly fighting with one another and not for the constituents. With these happenings, it is no surprise to me that the power of unions has weakened so dramatically over the last several years.

What a waste of union resources to fight NTEU over this election-- my advice to AFGE is to spend the resources organizing new units and strengthening the units you already have so that an embarrassment like losing this election when you outnumber NTEU legacy folks 2:1 won't happen again.
Rather than beefing up their training Department and Field organization and showing the Locals more bang for the buck, the AFGE folks on F Street prefer to fight NTEU in the courts thereby weakening both unions and continuing bad blood and a family feud that only helps management. Shame on you, AFGE.
And shame on you NTEU for continuing to take advantage and beating up on a weaker and more incompetent federal sector union. Keep kicking them when they are down only helps this administration.
