One does not take commentary from the ignorant when it comes to how the military works!

It is obvious that replacement of the Rumsfeld officer corps is essential. The last two Joint Chiefs of Staff (Pace and Myers) have been the poorest in the history of our military, their duty was only to rubber stamp Bush and Rumsfeld political actions. At this point in time it is obvious that any grade above 06 has been tainted with political concerns rather than doing their sworn military duties.
Iraq should show the fallacy of allowing politicians to run the show -- war should be run by the military experts. We spend millions to train the military to do their job, then subordinate them to know-nothing politicians.

Casey's a Bush man and he's the wrong person for the job. Bush is just going through the motion of replacing personnel in an attempt to pacify those (particularly military leaders) who oppose his strategy in Iraq, but in reality he is only replacing them with more devoted knee huggers. As I've always said he'd have never made it if it hadn't been for the Bush name. I'd say without the name he'd be working in some accounting office somewhere and would be lucky to see 50 grand a year.
