How about the employees, that started out part-time, that was the only way they hired back then, we were considered permanent part-time due to no full-time openings. You had to wait for an opening for full-time. Then once you obtained full-time status, you found out about the law that was passed in 1986, about part-time hours. In my case I started out part-time, then went to full-time and will stay full-time until my retirement, but find I'm going to be penalized due to some of my part-time tenure. That we were never informed of. I was told I would never gain 100% of my high three. I'm under the CSRS, hoping the law will be changed.
