Does anyone know how to get started asking for a congressional oversight on a gov agency? ie: who to start with, ect so I dont waste alot of time talking to people who "cant" I have a important issue I want to get to the forefront and want to go down the most productive path

Oversight means having to say no! I work at a headquarters operation in the services and we never say no! When I said no, I was moved out of a position with the ability to say no and into one that simply could establish the "policy" by which you say no! Now I am being moved back into a position to say no and find that you cannot say no because we have not enforced the policy for so long that we cannot assume the policy exists! What a load this is and I cannot wait to retire!

And don't forget those rascal Democrats who said during the campaign that they would increase oversight but now they are in charge and low and behold, in the headlines last week "they do not foresee changing oversight!"

Oversight needs to cover more than just what the media discovers. It needs to be applied in a preventative manner. The agencies of the federal government have deviated so much from their purpose that they have forgotten who they work for and why. An effective oversight committee has to start asking if a federal agency is really doing its job or if it's just a bloated bureaucracy right down to the first line federal employees. DOD is a pretty good example of the problem.
I won't hold my breath waiting for that to happen.
