California State University; Norfolk State University; University of Texas, El Paso; University of Texas, Pan American; University of Washington; Wayne State University; Trinity University; Clark Atlanta University; Florida International University; and Tennessee State University - all wonderful hip pocket schools.
Where are the UVa, U of Penn, Michigan, Michigan State, Northwestern, Stanford, UCLA, Cal Poly Pomona, MIT, Princeton, Washington U in St Louis, U of Miami Ohio, Ga Tech, and the other good schools? Could it be that government does not pay enough to get the best or that the type of work other than the space program has no appeal because the leaders are old and out of date?
Why doesn't the government have a higher image of itself than to recruit at the lower level hip pocket schools?

Like a stubborn child, the Pentagon refuses to listen. It isn't just about the pay. People want to work where their skills are valued. They don't want to go through a bureaucratic run-around in order to do their jobs. They want some respect. They want to work for a company that has a future, not one that is going broke or has lost its direction. They want to go home at least three out of five days feeling like they have done something worthwhile. Five out of five would be even better.
Information about federal employment is readily available on the Internet. A potential employee would be a fool not to thoroughly investigate any company before applying.
Things have changed in the last couple of decades. It seems that the people in charge of the government haven't. Where's the honor guys?
