Return to Article: Senators call for delay in closing EPA libraries

"Closures would impair EPA's ability to respond to emergencies because of delays in accessing documents from storage or remaining facilities, the unions officials said." Bull! If the data are online and available 24/7 how can that possibly delay access? You go on-line from anywhere anytime and get what you need! That is much faster and better than the current services of when the library is open. Governments should cut library operations budgets and force them to put material online for everyone to use and not just those that can get to the local library. Move money from operations into the funds to digitize the data as fast as possible. The union is totally in left field on this one!
