Once again the problem is with our Congress. Illegal immigrants cannot be handled like prisoners. Most are not true criminals and there are many children and elderly involved. If our government is really foolish enough to try to send them all back, they must have a means of rapidly processing and returning them.

Given DHS' track record of fiscal mismanagement and outright waste and inefficiency since its creation in 2003, I'm frankly quite surprised that they haven't decided to use cruise ships as detention centers. It certainly seems like something DHS would do!

Wow. Cruise ships instead of land detention facilities. The detainees can enjoy 24 hour dining service, swimming pools, and casino nights while they wait for their hearing. Sounds nice -- I wonder if the more dangerous detainees get ocean view suites.
Why would anybody recommend cruise ships at $300 per room per night for a jail? The insanity and fiscal irresponsibility of DHS keeps going and going, just like the Energizer bunny. As a taxpayer I'm appalled that this would even come up as an option.
