Trust me, federal librarians and their staffs have been flexible staffs for years. They have no choice -- you change with the times, retire or get outsourced. The Library of Congress may be a great place to work, but getting an interview is almost impossible. Training opportunities? They are marvelous, if you're a federal librarian in D.C. Anywhere else? Good luck, there's never any TDY funds.

Flexibility in staffing? In a library? What kind of stupid statement is that? Sounds to me like they've bought into the whole Bush administration hoo-ha about being able to move employees on a moment's notice.
