Once again Mr. Bush has proven that he is in a different world than all the workers in the federal government. His grasp of the facts are too much for him to understand.
He thinks federal employees should live on the cheap, forever.
Shameful man.

The 2.7 percent proposed increase is far below the rate of inflation (3.5 percent on a long-term basis). The proposed raise means that government workers will suffer a decline in their real wages! This will be true particularly for those located ion high cost living areas such as Washington, D.C.
