If Mexico intends to legalize the possession of small quantities of drugs anyway, why don't we just have an exchange program. We'll allow one hard working immigrant in for every drug addicted American that Mexico takes from us. They'll have to become Mexican citizens of course and we won't let them come back. That would be cheaper than building a fence.
It isn't any less realistic a proposal than building a giant fence that we don't have the manpower to patrol.
