Here is an agency that is worse than bad. They actually provide the United States with a negative impact! The information they gave the President supported the war he wanted and not what was going on in the world. They cannot place field operatives in areas that actually are a threat to the United States, such as Afghanistan and Iraq or North Korea, Iran and China! They spend a lot of many on ridiculous things and do not even tell Congress let alone the American people what is gong on -- remember the multimillion dollar buildings in Westfield, Va. Here is a prime agency for elimination but it is not going to happen with the Bush administration because daddy was leader of this terrible agency and the family is responsible for the poor policies engaged in by the agency. Congress -- get rid of this white elephant or at a minimum reduce its budget significantly (more than 30 percent cut in the actual level of spending for the average of the high three).

From "Undercover Girl" (1947) by Elizabeth MacDonald to the recent "Blowing My Cover" by Lindsay Moran is quite a fall. McCarthy doesn't belong in the same conversation, if it is true she donated $2,000 dollars to Kerry's campaign, she crossed the line from agent to politician. Having backed the wrong horse, she gambled and lost, so what. I enjoy reading personal accounts of working for the government. Before Lindsay Moran's book I thought most of the "Company's" agents were balding, overweight, arrogant, middle-aged men compensating for their masculinity with mustaches.

I am a retired federal employee. This policy will cause a huge uproar and lead current and retired CIA agents (plus other agency) employees to "leak" information detrimental to the administration more than what it has been up to date. This is terrible. This policy will actually more harm the administration than it will help.
