Return to Article: Confrontation looms in House over earmark proposal

Of course confrontation looms. Our representatives have to make it look like they are having some kind of squabble so they can dilute any legislation for reform until it's meaningless. You don't have to be an expert at anything to recognize that our congressional representatives have been manipulating our country for years for their personal benefit.
If you think you know of a congressional representative who is clean, you're probably mistaken. Just yesterday, it was disclosed that congressman Oxley of Ohio has been accepting large campaign contributions from Fannie Mae. The contributions were well disguised. Oxley also happens to be on a committee that Fannie Mae wants to influence. What a coincidence. Rome crumbles as the Congress fiddles away.
