The Selling of America (continued). As a thankfully retired ex-Treasury employee I'm appalled but not surprised at this latest caper. The Bush administration came into power with one clear objective. Not Iraq, not the war on terror, but to gut the civil service system, using the old cliche about how much better private industry is over the government! The protests should come from U.S. voters, not from a sleazy company whose only goal is profits, profits and more profits. Add to that the inevitable selling of private taxpayer information, and you have yet another mess for the next president to clean up.
