Why bother with the National Security "Pin Wheel" in the first place? Nobody ever knows what the true threat level is and, when we're deemed privy, we usually get it from Fox News or CNN. We have never received any official communication from HQ when it does. How's that for a sad state of affairs?
Common sense (an unknown commodity in this outfit) dictates the frontline troops need to be onboard immediately so appropriate action can be taken. The system doesn't work so it's time to mothball it. If we don't get the information we can't do the job. What a concept!

"What's in a name," or color, to paraphrase Shakespeare. More money-wasting nonsense. Let's cut to the chase. New York, D.C., and all large population centers, or areas of strategic importance (ports, railroads, planes, etc.) should always be red, period. All other geographic areas should be blue, period. Hopefully the terrorists won't attack again, but they probably will. Why should any smalltown USA need or get 9/11 money? So they can buy new fire trucks? Come on, the war won't be won with new color wheels, any more than our overeating can be cured with a new food pyramid.
