I may be retired from paid employment but not from my obligation to tell my representatives where they are failing. They need to know what their constituents think! I want answers from each of them as to what they are doing about these recommendations. They are accountable to me, and I expect them to respond.

I agree with the first two readers' comments. It's a real shame that the so-called leaders are not leading the country in the most important and meaningful ways. Many of them are more concerned about supporting their own special interests rather than what's best for the entire country. There's also a huge lack of foresight in terms of education and diplomacy, both here and abroad. Everyone seems to be concerned about "putting a Band-Aid" on the problems rather than working hard on long-term solutions and positive, preventive actions to repair our current bad image globally.
There are many leaders on the grassroots level in the United States who are working hard in their communities to make a difference. Let's hope that some of them will want to step up to the higher level and run for Congress!
Another Disgusted, but Hopeful Fed.

A memo to Management/DHS / Washington, D.C.: With all due respect, you forgot a very important component of the Bush administration in your grades. What about Hypocrisy? I believe Dubya deserves an A+ for that. Don't you?

It gets me so angry that our "leaders" are doing nothing about this! This is about our very survival, yet they can't get off their partisan rants to actually effect change.
Don't reelect the same useless people! Elect those willing to live by their oath: "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God."
