Return to Article: More federal technology work expected to go private

Wake up America! Decay and corruption of our positive American values, naive worship of so-called "private industry" will eventually bring this nation down, just as other great societies have fallen. Government is the price we pay for living together in the same place. While information technology is critical to government operation, it should never be outsourced to the private sector. Central to this insanity is the hard to kill myth that the private sector is always better, cheaper, and faster than the government. Sometimes it is, but it's amazing how many companies are declaring bankruptcy. Where will the information go?

I am sure that private companies, in turn, will not outsource IT work to cheap foreign overseas labor either? Yeah right! How about foreign labor that is or will become hostile to the United States. I want my dependence on IT to be in their hands! Americans are so stupidly shortsighted. We never learn from mistakes. Guess we'll just have to learn again the hard way.
Here again, the federal government is planning on mimicking the private sector's outsourcing strategy, layoffs and movement to third world-ism. Why should our children attend college, when these once respectable jobs are being disgraced unless they are majoring in law or the medical profession? I wish we could outsource lawyers. Maybe that will be next!
