Return to Article: Contracting probe could extend to CIA

This article is provocative, but isn't it a little flimsy, journalistically? I wonder:
--Did the CIA get a chance to comment on whether Mr. Foggo is under investigation?
--Did the U.S. Attorney's Office in San Diego get a chance to comment on whether Mr. Foggo is under investigation?
--Did Mr. Foggo get a chance to comment before he was linked to possible illegalities? The article doesn't say. Instead, there is a background comment from a "veteran CIA officer" who speculates that Mr. Foggo could be under investigation because he is friends with a contractor who has been implicated in the Cunningham plea. But there is nothing from anyone involved or familiar with the investigation itself.
Is this enough to run a story that tarnishes reputations?
