Officals are concerned? DUH !! Why would they be concerned when ole GW and Dick have already circled their respective vultures; handed out the good candy to their dear buds at Halliburton and K&B. Officials should be concerned because these two thieves won't even leave scraps for the minority owned or veteran owned businesses.

FYI Halliburton subsidiary Kellogg, Brown & Root(KBR) was bankrupt before the big contracts on IRAQ and now the big contracts on New Orleans will allow Halliburton totally to bail out its bankrupt sub. Had the sub been allowed to fail, many smaller contractors would have benefited and generated jobs in our society. Seems the Whitehouse wanted to subsidizes KBR without consideration of the impact on smaller contractors. The government never should have allowed contracts to go to KBR because they were bankrupt! But they did and now KBR and Halliburton are doing just outstanding work. Why was KBR bankrupt if they did such fine work? The political control of the appropriation and control of who gets the non-bid contract is costing me far too much money and needs to be stopped. The people in political office are not going to stop this game - there is too much money involved and they need money to get re-elected.
