DON'T ASK, DON'T TELL! What a crock! This is the Clinton way of solving problems - stick your head in the sand. Face the issue and make all discrimination for non job related activities illegal!

How did our country survive for over 200 years without this vital piece of legislation? Thanks again to Congress for focusing its attention on such a major problem, instead of such minor inconveniences as the war on terror, our broken immigration system, rising taxes, our dependence on foreign oil, the environment, and other unimportant issues. I'll sure sleep better knowing that our fearless representatives are once again paying homage to political correctness, by calling attention to a problem that obviously affects so many Americans. If passed, I'm sure that this proposed legislation will also make countless lawyers very, very happy!

Why is this Administration intent on circumventing the tradition that sexuality is protected in the federal workplace? Oh, that's right...They're homophobes!

This is very important legislation for the Federal workforce.
All employees should have a guaranteed right to equal employment opportunity without discrimination, including discrimination based on sexual orientation. When discrimination or harassment is legally allowed into the Federal workplace, we all suffer; we become a national workforce divided by hatred and ignorance. We can, and must, do better!

Republicans don't want protections for federal employees. They want us to be fired at any whim they decide is proper. They want to hire their friends just as fast as they descriminate against all others. The law is falling on their side because of the people in places that are sympathetic to the Republican cause.
You can pass laws but you can't make Republicans obey them.
