Davis should stick to determining who owns baseball teams! No federal agency is equipped to stop terrorists. You do not need a study to prove that. Give them all the resources you want and they can never stop terrorists. "Common citizens" stopped 25% of the attacks on 9/11/01 but government stopped none!
Stop wasting my money on these ridiculous studies Have the GAO audit every government operation to find out where our money is going and why. Simple - follow the money!
The Republicans are out to lunch and until Bush, I was one. They have focused on issues people like to vote for but that fall outside the realm of federal government. If they are so "pro-life" why haven't they introduced legislation to define when life begins? Then they could do something other than simply talk. If they are so Christian why haven't they introduced legislation requiring everyone to attend a Christian church and packed the courts with pro-life christians? They are not doing anything they talked about in the election. Most of the President's responsiblity lies in international relations and he has most other countries hating the USA. What is he doing to improve the relationship of the USA with other countries? Where is his work on environmental issues (that is pro-life), international trade, international law, humane treatment of people? He fosters economic growth in China at the expense of those that elected him. Chinese (2 billion of them) are buying cars and increasing demand for gas thus driving the price of oil through the roof. The cost of your low cost Chinese imports lies at the gas pump and jobs lost. Those higher costs will move into other raw materials as China continues to increase production and will really hit when the general Chinese population is able to purchase more items. They either get the raw materials they demand increasing the amount they pay for them and US costs get higher until there are no more production facilities in the US or there is a war for raw materials. Remember how Japan needed oil in the early 1940's.
