Dave, I miss your point. I do not think that A76 is the basis for a decision. Also, when I had to deal with Pensocola they could not perform for over a week (of course that followed the hurricane).

As usual DOD taxpayer you open your mouth and insert your foot. For your information DFAS Denver did not and could not win its A76 competition. Now the BRAC is going to keep Denver open, I guess some of those $s are paying someone off. DFAS Pensacola which won its A76 is being closed, if your use your GOD given senses you would smell the same stink I do.

Too bad Rummy didn't ask for an accounting of the billions of dollars he spends and does not account for.
Of course he is the Rummy now isn't he? He is the equivalent of Leona Helmsly (the queeen of mean) only he works for the government. Accounting for the money is for the little people.

"DFAS processes payroll transactions, travel payments and health benefits funds for members of the military, civilian Defense employees, retirees and annuitants. The agency also manages foreign military sales and some commercial invoices."
You miss the major point! DFAS is the accounting system for the services and processes all financial transactions as well! DFAS should be totally located at the Denver facility and need more competent people than are currently their. Today's communitcations and network systems allow DFAS to locate everything in Denver so that the policies and procedures there can be uniform. DFAS has taken on a life of its own and is not acting as a contract accounting and finance agency to the services. DFAS needs to establish its function and DoD needs to tell the services to eliminate all there accounting and finance operations and place them with DFAS! It appears that you have put a Luger (senator) to the head of DFAS and said you will keep and add to the personnel in Indiana. This is stupid and everyone should be moved to Denver!
