DoD, specifically the Army encourage an organizational culture of continuous improvement while cutting costs. Telework is one of those vehicles that can significantly contribute to cost savings in a number of ways, yet no one is paying attention. Implementation of telework public law for civilian employees in certain jobs in the Army would generate huge savings. But Army leaders are not paying attention. Please continue to publish articles on telework...maybe someone somewhere will get the picture.

Interesting how you worded "of 23 agencies contacted, 22 had a telework policy". What exactly was their policy? To forbid it? Or allow it only under the most unusual circumstances, rather than under everyday conditions? I don't see telework being utilized very much at all, not nearly as much as it could and should be. I wonder of those 22 agencies, how many actually USE it, versus have a policy about it.
