Return to Article: Administration takes swipes at first-responder bill

It seems that Mr. Cox has forgotten Caucasians purposely giving American Indians blankets that they knew were contaminated with Smallpox. It spread nearly as fast and as deadly throughout the Indian Nations as the Black Plague did in Europe.
Because they were segregated to "Reservations" and told that they are considered a separate "Country in a Country." (Which had formerly been theirs to begin with.) For this to be debated in the Courts is fine with me.
But, as "AN AMERICAN", that spent 3 1/2 years in the Orient fighting for "OUR COUNTRY'S RIGHT OF EQUALITY, I find his comments VERY insulting that he should exclude the American Indians from the "First Responder" help monies.
They are people with families that they love and care for, they have friends (EVEN OFF OF THE "RESERVATION!), they even have feelings just as you and I.
So, WHY SHOULD THEY BE LEFT OUT OF THE FUNDS! Are we going back to the mentalities of the days of slavery in the United States!?!
