To DHS - reality is classified and believe me when I say you don't have the clearance to know "the truth".

Don't worry, be happy. All that is needed to disable a chip is a tap with a hammer, put dead short across it, etc.

Sorry to see such a paranoid conspiracy theory posted by a retired federal employee. After working for, and retiring from, the government, you of all people should know firsthand how inept things really are in most government agencies. A theory like yours belongs in a fiction novel, or Hollywood movie. Real life is not like the X-Files! Those of us still in government do not need the public thinking of us as "Big Brother", our jobs are tough enough as it is. I hope you get the help you need.

If you really believe that the government hasn't already put together plans for covert gathering of personnal information from these chips, you might be living in a cave somewhere.
The rule of thumb with the government is that it is only morally or ethically wrong if they are caught. ID chips have been around for a few years now. They have been used for some time now to identify pets and farm animals. They could eventually be put directly into people. (If they haven't been already.)A lot of information can be stored on current generation ID chips.
Also, based on technological advancements in size, the chips will eventually be so small as to be easily injected in a vacination when a person may not even be aware of it.
Never underestimate just how far power corrupts.
