In 1970 I was stationed in Alaska. A few days before my 19th birthday, I was attacked. Over the next two years I became so despondent I could not perform my duties. I was diagonsed with a "personality disorder and given a honorable discharge. I was no longer useful to the military. The VA rated me as 0 disability as it was a personality disorder. I reapplied a few years ago and received a rating for ptsd. I lost part of my life, my self worth, and my military career. I talked to an attorney and he said it was to late to take any action. I would persue the lawsuit if I could afford it anyway, for 2 reasons: 1- to clear my name, and 2- to bring the problem to light. The problem is the military has the confidentiality and there is no resource for women then or now. How many other lives and careers will be destroyed because the military is able to hide its crimes?

Years of silence have gone by since I was raped by my recuriter. The military says they don't doubt my claim, but refuse to take any responsibility since I was in the Army delayed entry program. Still fighting after 20 years!
