Bush feels the Iraq issue is priority one and keeps spending good money after bad. In the meantime he has left the back door wide open and the US citizens unprotected. I've been following this issue for some time and it's unbelieveable that it took an investigation to draw the necessary attention. I could say why haven't the appointed people like Loy informed higher officials but I imagine they have, it's just these higher officials have ordered them to keep quiet. Inside people are afraid to blow the whistle and state the true conditions. After all one could lose their job like the Park person. This article doesn't even come close to showing how bad border security has become. Again it is stated that no money exists to accomplish the job. We all know where the money is being spent and wasted. And on who's watch did this occur? Bush's. Who's responsible? Bush. Who will be held responsible? No one. No one ever is. That's the problem, no one these days have to account for anything so there is no reason to require the job done right. Until that changes, we're doomed.
