The managers described in this article are an embarrassment to all federal employees. I have worked with the Internet in DoD for over ten years. You need to learn how to control the technology and not let it control you. I was sitting in a meeting yesterday with an SES employee who was scrolling through his messages on a Blackberry as another SES was talking directly to him. I find it shocking that senior managers are so off balance.

One can only assume that Mr. Libbey is not offended if his subordinates are using their Blackberrys during his meetings. He may well see that "differently."
