Return to Article: Voters support federal workers in survey

An interesting read with an apparent bias/lean for the Democratic Party in the choice of wording at the end when statistics are compared.
As an analyst, I look at statistics of this nature from both directions and suggest that everyone else do the same. The article states that "For Democrats, 60 percent of respondents favored a positive image of government and only 19 percent blamed bureaucrats. Among Republican voters, 43 percent said the country needs a positive image of government while 34 percent said federal workers are to blame for government failings."
If you reverse the viewpoint, it implies that 40% of Dems and 57% of Reps do NOT favor a positive image of Gov't. I would suggest this means they think it already has one rather than a complete disregard for how our Gov't is percieved. However, a poorly worded question leaves that open to debate.
The more curious (and telling) item would be the second half of these stats. The specific wording changes by party (hence my initial assertion); blaming "bureaucrats" for the Dems and "federal workers" for the Reps. If you make them the same wording by assuming the opposite of the stated for each, it would either be 81% of Dems blame the "federal workers" or 66% of Reps blame the "bureaucats." Neither of which is very positive for the Dems.
Food for thought?

Max Stier is the best cheerleader that federal workers have. Somebody should buy him a cute uniform.
