"It's like driving down the highway at 60 miles per hour and retooling your engine at the same time," Stier said.
No I think the better metaphor taught at the USDA Grad School would be driving down the highway at hitting the exit ramp at 60 miles an hour while retooling the engine and talking on the cell phone. :-)
And why are we going 60 miles an hour in a 45 mile hour zone in the first place. :-)))))

"It's like driving down the highway at 60 miles per hour and retooling your engine at the same time," Stier said. Really? I thought it was like trying to change the engine in an airplane while in the middle of the flight.
Do they teach a version of this metaphor at the USDA Grad School? Maybe it's mentioned in "SES for Dummies"? Memo to Max and Federal managers everywhere: Please, please, please, retire this metaphor.
