Robert Lloyd obviously doesn't quite understand the insidiousness of what he's talking about. "I don't have anything to hide..." has nothing to do with whether or not anyone belives this is a good idea. All I want to know is what part of the constitution requires you to give up your privacy to travel?

Personally I have no problem with Safe Flight. Why don't you consider making participation in the program optional? Those willing to participate in this "pre-screening" process (if you will), would be directed to a modified security screening area which would expedite passenger flow in those areas.
For those unable or unwilling to participate in this program, they would be required to endure the current long lines, possibly a slightly more stringent process of clothing and baggage searches currently in use today and be subject to a more extensive search when deemed necessary.
This would expedite the process for those deemed "no risk" and provide a greater security validation for those considered "risk unknown".
