Everybody knows the MSPB is a joke. Read their decisions on the web and the cases, and you can obviously see they are nothing but a political group created to make it look like they act in the best interest of federal employees, however, they are a dream team for incompetent management, guilty of everything ranging from theft to discrimination. Face it folks, that is why they are there.

Art,
I doubt MSPB is going to eat crow. This is the same Appeals Court that recently upheld a zero mistake performance tolerance standard for a DoD web page designer. I doubt very much Ms. Chambers is going to get satisfaction from an anti-labor court. They will just say that National Security trumps again.

Nothing new here. Historically, the MSPB upholds management's decisions nearly 85% of the time. The odds were certainly not in Ms. Chambers' favor as once again the MSPB 'goes through the motions'.

Nice going Liz. You clowns at MSPB can play all the silly political games you desire and waste the taxpayer's money. But when this case gets to the appeals court you'll be eating crow. What a waste!

The oath that all federal employees take is to uphold the Constitution. The broad purpose of the Constitution is to defend life, liberty and property of U.S. citizens. That obligation trumps the workplace requirement to protect the administration and management. When an agency defrauds citizens and taxpayers by pretending that the agency is providing protection when it is not, employees are required by conscience and their oath of office to call the agency to task. The MSPB ruling is wrong.

And the chill in the federal government continues.
Ms. Chambers tells the truth about her budget, informs Congress of problems in the Park Service Police and rather than get a big thank you from DoI- she gets fired. And her Deputy has just been fired as well.
And to reach the conclusion that this was a legitimate firing of what we all see as a whistleblower, Judge Bogle creates a law enforcement exemption to the whistleblower protection statute.
This really scares me because we need to protect federal whistleblowers working in law enforcement to protect American civil liberties. The very people we need to shield are now completely exposed by MSPB.
Given the make-up of the Board and of the Federal Circuit Court I must tell Ms. Chambers that I wish her all the best in all her future endeavors. In my experience I believe that a grave injustice has been done and will not be fixed on appeal. I fear for all the LEOs in America who face similar charges.

If you were wondering what the results of the changes in how the employees in Federal Service are going to be treated, here is the first of many, many examples. You will be hired without any regard to your qualifications and you will be fired just as fast. It is all about what you say, the truth will get you fired and a lie will ensure you keep your job. Probably more important than anything, if you keep your mouth shut you will survive.
Let's see how the Democrats do with the same options.
