Art,
Isn't it amazing that we read over and over again how these corporations are cheating the American taxpayer and giving shoddy work for huge corporate profits and yet the government continues to dismantle itself and continues to outsource the work. I've said for years that we federal employees do it better, do it cheaper, and do it with esprit de corps.
I say enough already and let's pump resources back into the federal civil service because the profit motivated private sector does it poorly, expensively and are mercenaries. Only a fool, or a failed businessman, would continue along this path unless of course, the ulterior motive is to destroy the federal government- in which case continuing along this path will lead to a huge success.

Halliburton will try to intimidate all the investigators working on the case. If this doesn't work, they'll find them lucrative jobs.
If they can, they'll also make lucrative employment offers to legislative folks looking into the fracas.
Halliburton already owns our executive branch, so why not just buy their way out of this issue as well?

Criminal behavior and this administration turns their backs on it and pretends it is not happening. When will the Republicans stop allowing this company to steal money from the taxpayers? Can't wait to hear Mr. Cheney defend these people tonight, it should be a doozy of a story.

The author should trell us why an oil supply company is winning the bid on supplying food, etc. Also, author should point out that KBR is bankrupt and that is why Halliburton owns it. Finally, Cheny should disclose his personal or trust holdings of Halliburton from 2000 until present and the market price of the ownership over the period 1999 until now. Of course he didn't profit from any of this.
Also, tell the retired general that it is the Army that did it and not the Pentagon! Just like the Air Force with Boeing it is the Army with Halliburton! Where is the ex Chief of staff - in the State Dept you say!
