Why would any corporation, let alone an individual, want to allow someone to have that much access to personal information? In this age of increasing terrorist threats and identity theft, Congress and the President should consider ALL the implications of privitizing any governmental function. Just because a company says it's American, doesn't mean that it won't subcontract out the functions it controls to the lowest bidder (usually an off-shore company), and that bidder may be one of the various terrorist groups we're fighting! So we would be indirectly funding the very people we're trying to eliminate.
