It is unbeliveable how blind Bush supporters are. Saddam, as bad as he was, was no worse than any number of leaders around the world. What happened to the "you're either with us or with the terrorists?" crap that Bush spouted after 9/11? How many hijackers were Saudi and how many were Iraqi? Bush supporters are willing to cheer on the invasion of a country that had nothing to do with 9/11 and was no threat to anyone due to being contained after the first Gulf War while the real masterminds of 9/11 have been allowed go free. Have you heard George Dubious mention Osama Bin Laden lately? Whatever happened to "the people who tore down this buildings will hear us all soon?" Dubious couldn't lead hungry wolves to fresh meat. His failed foreign policies has been the biggest recruiting campaign for terrorism; all the while shipments coming into our ports are not being searched, our borders leak like sieves, and our nuclear and hazardous chemical plants are unprotected. At least Kerry volunteered to serve unlike Dubious who got into the Guard under questionable circumstances and then claimed time served that wasn't. And, Cheney had "other priorities" when it came to serving his country? Yea, these are men you can respect. And, when Cheney was CEO of Halliburton, they were doing business with Iran and Syria, which only helped those countries support terrorism. Who's unfit to lead? The Dubious Debacle in Iraq had nothing to do with weapons of mass distortion (or what is the excuse du jour?), it was entirely personal. And, this guy believes he was appointed to the White House by God. Be afraid, be very afraid.

We can't help Bush and his people, they believe everything he says. They do not think for themselves. They still believe Saddam was responsible for 9/11. They will never see the truth because there are too many bushes in front of the forest.

To the moronic taxpayer from DOD, I'll tell you why Bush attacked Iraq and not those other countries run by thugs on your list. Iraq has shown from past history to threaten/attack its neighbors (Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Iran) and to use WMDs (Iran & Kurds). Saddam was the only world leader who openly applauded the 9/11 attacks on the U.S, not that this justifies any invasion but shows where this madman is coming from. Everyone, including the Democrats, the UN and intelligence services of the western European nations thought he had the WMDs. The leaders of Jordan and Egypt told General Franks that Saddam had them. Bush is a visionary who thinks Middle East democracy will benefit everyone in the long run. So removing Saddam and his evil sons will eventually prove to be a good thing. According to even your guy Kerry, the flip-flopping questionable war hero, Saddam was a threat who needed to be removed. Now that was before he became an anti-war guy to capture the "D" nomination. Now that he's their candidate, he's trying to be the war guy again. We need a leader, not a consummate career politician who politicizes national security!

We have found the weapon of mass destruction and it is here. And it is destroying the USA with its no bid contracts for friends and a police state where cops simply go close streets without any public hearing or advanced planning. This is how Hitler started and we have to be more concerned about the enemy within (current administration and Congess) than with the enemy outside.
America, vote this guy and his hencemen out of office and take away control of the government that has taken our freedoms to stop a dictator that once planned to kill daddy. We are not taking out the Saudis, Cubans, or African nations run by thugs - why Iraq? If Bush wants to save money in government stop the occupation of Iraq.

In response to Mr Wilson III's comments:
I grew up overseas, the son of a Mobil Oil pipeline Maint. Supt. in Libya. I worked in the oil fields for 5 years for a Halliburton subsidiary. There are numerous, repeat, numerous companies capable of performing this work. This appears to have been the result of command/undue influence. It is also why this, and other Halliburton/KBR sole-source, no-bid contracts are being investigated on numerous fronts.
And the Veep continues to benefit from this no-bid largesse via deferred compensation.

I'm certain Mr Cheney has covered his tracks, severed all ties to Halliburton, etc., but I would be surprised if he does not derive substantial benefit from his "former" employer's phenomenal growth in DoD contract awards. And Mr. Wilson III apparently gave little credence to the part about Halliburton's performance being ethically questionable, to say the least.

Where is Miss Virgina Beach's comments on this? Deny us pay raises so Govt can save 2.2 billion dollars translate into this! Our hard earned tax dollars end up at one contractor the majority of the time! Wake up America. Only 4 more months to go!

The author of this story wrote it coming from a belief that Halliburton won the work because of their association with Cheney. This is wrong. Who better to get the work than a firm prepared to perform?
