The Army needs to look at state agencies for auditors. There are many experienced auditors that work for various state governments that are not as well paid as federal auditors and would welcome the opportunity to work for the federal government.

Auditors are definitely needed, but if they are not free of coercion they will be of little benefit in my opinion. If they are not trained in the ways government works and transacts business and contracting they will be of little benefit. If they aren't empowered to do their jobs forthrightly and honestly without coercion they will be just more folks on the payroll. So if there is not good procedures, policies, and forethought about their utilization they could end up just being pupits in somebodies scheme! If they aren't educated in the ways in which color of money appropriations are often misused and abused they will not be successful!

I have been reading for a long time and the immediate hiring will take place to cover a 1990 law. Now that is timely.
Lets give these guys a big hand, they are on the ball.
