I would love to telework, but getting permission to do so has been impossible. P.L.106-346 requirements are not being met, even though many employees are willing. Why is this?
Some would put the blame in that management has not been shown how to put together quantifying measurements controls or monitors to ensure their workers are actually working, while others say it's a security, safety, or liability issue.
I am not sure. I am aware that many employes have expressed to management their willingness to be able to take part, and have been denied year after year.

If a manager or any one else that has been issued a laptop computer to 'telework' while they are on travel, why is it so difficult for me to be authorized to telework?!?!?

Doesn't that sound just ducky?!?!?!? NOT!!!! Telework....Contracting Out....Telework...Contracting out....This office USE to telework for approximately 5 years!!!! Then 'someone' determined this office could NOT be designated for telework. Couldn't understand that at first.....THEN contract workers started working in here, and two years later the A-76 decision still is not final!!!! WILL SOMEONE PLEASE STOP THE INSANITY?!?!?!?!??!!?
