As a two and a half time screener applicant flunky, I know something about the TSA. It is exactly how not to start a government agency. It is corrupt to the core. Let's touch on a few basics. Magaw ousted- $700,000 office remodel, Loy hires 2% criminals many felons(that's 1200)- lets them stay awhile, until OPM finishes background checks (months), $103mil hiring contract balloons to $700mil+, Loy and Ridge testify they're withholding millions-goes to salaries in secret(only kings, tyrants and in this country it's the US congress that have that power)Choicepoint and NCS Pearson(aka Pearson Gov. Solutions)get rich-Loy gets promoted (No.2 DHS)-Air safety now political(defeat of Rep. Markey bill)-Don't check that cargo or the workers-On and on and on-We didn't ask Jet Blue or the others it was them(contractors)-give us your fingerprints anyway! This is so egregious and unbelievable! One question screener applicants are asked is-Do you Lie? You bet they do! (TSA officials) A miserable failure at best.

When Congress starts up new organizations without actually knowing what they need and doing it properly, they get these kinds of problems. Doing it right is the way to go, unfortunately these organizations were put together on a whim and now people may die because of it. Give them no quarter and hold them accountable for everything they do.

DHS and TSA are very newly formed organizations, and it bothers me to hear all the bashing of these organizations. Well maybe, just maybe, they need more clear guidance from higher level officials instead of the constant bashing they receive almost all of the time. These organizations are younger that the war on terrorism, which places DHS and TSA in a reactive mode. They could use help and guidance to become the proactive units they are expected to be. Help from top to bottom is key to every governmental agency's success. Please provide them help.
