Geez, unbelievable, if I ran my household in the same fashion as this administration has, financially, I'd be in the poor house. We certainly need a change come Nov. and I'm not talking about Bush's other pipe dream of a man mission to Mars.

I am so sick of Bush's budget games. If he, in fact, believes that we belong in Iraq and he plans to keep us there for a while, then he should identify the costs and ask Congress to appropriate them. He sent our troops over there without ensuring that they had the resources to "stay the course." He waits until after we're in this thing, and then starts asking for more money, and whenever anyone dares question anything about it they are dubbed as unpatriotic.
Go back to that famous $87 Billion. Some lawmakers had the audacity to suggest that we repeal some of the tax cuts or cut other spending to pay for the $87B. The fact that they were trying to keep us from sliding deeper in debt was ignored, since they dared challenge funding for our troops. Bush himself threatened to veto the bill if Congress did in fact include any changes to the tax code. He's also misled Congress and the American people about how he used part of the $87B and now wants complete control over this new money.
It seems he is once again playing games with the amounts i.e, not including known costs and not providing a reasonable estimate for the price tag of his plan. These budget games have gotten way out of hand. Bush has a responsibility to get honest with us about the costs of this war. He lied about the Medicare costs to get the bill passed, and he's lying to us, if only by omission, about the costs for Iraq.
Bush seems to think he doesn't have to answer to anyone. I'd say he has to answer to the people that elected him, but then again I guess the 2000 election taught him that he really doesn't need to answer to the will of the American people.
