Rummy is so brazen, he now admits he does what he wants. CIA, who do they think they are? Rummy runs things around the Pentagon, he is the man. George Tenet can take his seat, he will be called if needed. Can anyone remember the talk about knowing what was going on just before 9/11? Maybe we did know what was about to happen and our man Rummy decided to keep it to himself, maybe, maybe not. All I know is, Rummy is arrogant and would do almost anything and his loyal followers would say and do anything to make him happy, that is how they keep their jobs. DOD uses the chain of command and Rummy makes his chain of command, in his own image.

When you believe that your cause is nobler than the country's at large, you'll do and say anything to execute your plan. Prince Donny and the rest of the Vulcans are true believers. This isn't about security, we are the most secure nation on the planet (with the exception of killing each other), this is about hegemony.
If one looks back to the 70s it was a time of terrorist organizations running wild throughout Europe and Asia. Those organizations were decapitated through intelligence and police work. That's too subtle for these guys and doesn't foster their agenda. In other words it doesn't proliferate their welfare policy of taking care of the military industrial congressional complex. Everything else takes a back seat to the agenda. Vote them out.
