Air Force Gen. Ralph Eberhart, who was in charge of the nation's air defenses when the World Trade Center and Pentagon were attacked...
Why does this man still have his job?

The war on terrorism, like the war on drugs, is not intended to be won. It is an Orwellian exercise designed to keep the ignorant street rabble in a perpetual state of hysteria. That way they can continue to be easily manipulated. Just go to the nearest airport and watch Bush's goons pushing around little old ladies. You will see that freedom is whatever Big Brother says it is.

Bush, Cheney, Heritage Foundation etc., give me a break. These people want another "War". They sit around the table and think this stuff up. The only thing they want is more power for themselves. Don't forget the Heritage Foundtion was created by Joe Coors. His only desire in life was to BUST all UNIONS. These people will not address the problem as stated by the enemy, foreign policy in Israel is the big problem. Why does the American taxpayer send billions of dollars to Israel? There is your problem.

Terrorism can strike anywhere. Is the entire world at war? Will terrorism ever be completely eradicated? I'd love to live in Gene Roddenberry's future where hunger, poverty, and terrorism don't exist on earth ... will we be "at war" until then?
I'm not suggesting we ignore terrorism, I'm suggesting we deal with it reasonably and not use it as fodder for padding the defense budget or political gain.

Is this like the "War on Poverty" that was declared 40 years ago and still not over? Or is it more like the "War on Drugs" that has been fought for 30 years and still allows our children to buy drugs in any school district? You have a greater chance of being struck by lightening than dying in a terrorist attack. It would be better to change our intrusive foreign policy than another endless "War on ...(name your threat)". The race of the Cold War is over but they still have thousands of nukes pointed in our direction. Who won?

A Cold War indeed. America must not become vulnerable again to the cruelty and suffering endured on 9/11.

The continued threat of terrorism is being used as a smoke screen to bolster the DoD's position of union busting. Title V of the U.S. Code allows federal workers to unionize. The DoD is putting itself above the law by continually whining that security is at risk, capitalizing on the same anti-union strategy developed for the Homeland Defense.
