I agree with the first comment. My husband has been trying since April 2003 to get reimbursed for expenses. The Army owes him over $1000.00 in travel-related expenses. The finance office told him this week that they have no record of him requesting pay. Not even a record for him at all. Although when he inquired over the past few months finance kept telling him it would be 10 more business days. I can't tell you how many times we have heard "10 more business days." He has been deployed since September 12, 2002. Our family is not only dealing with him being gone for so long but numerous pay issues as well. My husband's unit needs to focus on the troops more. I would estimate that over 75% of his unit will get out of the Guard as soon as the opportunity is available. I'm sure his unit is not an exception.

The problem isn't the pay SYSTEM, it's the payroll offices not getting the work done in a timely manner. The Army and it's Finance Center have a reputation of sloppy work. Investigate them.
