If the Post Office wishes to improve their financial standing perhaps they should stop sponsoring sporting events. I don't understand why we continue to pay more for postage, have to look at closing facilities, etc., in order for the USPS to be stable. If they have "extra" money to sponsor events and advertise then there is something wrong with this picture. The USPS should be responsible for budgeting to provide the services they were created to provide. I'm all for sponsoring events, but not if we all end up paying the bill, in one way or another.

There is no doubt that something needs to be done but why not start by withdrawing from the sponsorship of Lance Armstrong. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad he survived cancer but when a business is in the red it needs to start at the top. It has been proven that we as rural carriers are the most productive craft in the Postal Service but yet we are the only ones taking a beating when it comes to our pay check. The USPS has offered early outs to everyone except the rural craft, why are we being left out! Then you have Postmasters that don't know how to manage a group of people and when it gets bad in the office they just ship them to another office to screw it up. I am dedicated to my job and my customers but with the way things are going when they cut clerk hours they just pass the task to the rural carrier for no extra pay. Hopefully retiring in 3 years. Thank You, Joyce
