Yeah...I want a pilot firing a pistol inside a jet at 35,000 feet! How many people can you squirt through a hole during explosive decompression? And pilots are humans....just as susceptible to accidental weapons discharge or plain stoooopidity. Question remains: what's the aviation version of "going postal"?

It breaks my heart that a pilot that makes $100K or more per year now has to travel a little farther and be put out a little so that he/she can carry a gun. Meanwhile after over thirty years the Postal Inspection Service has shut down the Postal Police operations in 6 areas of the country including Seattle and we can't even get a line of press. Let the pilots respond with their guns to Postal facilities while we are out looking for a new job. So much for security!
